New TV series 'Steam Train Britain' starts tonight at 8pm on Yesterday.

Behind the scenes of three preserved steam railways - the South Devon Railway, the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway and the Great Central Railway.  10 progammes in total

Thanks for the tip, lots of signalling bits, which is unusal.

seems to put the heritage railways in a good light too.

Certainly appeared well balanced, informative and interesting, without having dramatically engineered 'shock horror gasp' entertainment for the masses.
Dave Bridges a now retired career railwayman (latterly a Signalling Manager for Devon & Cornwall) gave a very professional and easy to understand description in Buckfastleigh SB (Signal Box) of how single line safety is provided by the Token system and also the part interlocking of levers plays in safety.
