I do wonder if GWR (Great Western Railway)'s next poster should be "Five Fail To Couple To Another Five".

Please excuse me putting on my pedant hat. I hate it when they announce a train will be cancelled. When the decision is made it IS cancelled. If they want to use the future tense they can say it “will not run”.

Someone is probably working on it at the moment... Once again, the two units failed to attach at Oxford this morning leaving a unit missing its front cone in the naughty sidings.

09:58 Great Malvern to London Paddington due 12:25 will be cancelled.
This is due to a fault on this train.

Realtime shows this as cancelled due to late arrival of incoming service.  But 1W07 (due Great Malvern 0927, seems to have not run beyond Didcot)

Some knock-ons from Ciara

Quote
1P01 0448 Hereford to London Paddington
This service was cancelled due to late arrival of an inbound service (YI).

Quote
14:50 London Paddington to Worcester Foregate Street due 17:12 will be started from Reading.
It will no longer call at London Paddington and Slough.
This is due to a tree blocking the railway earlier today.

Quote
15:20 London Paddington to Worcester Foregate Street due 17:40 will no longer call at Slough.
It will be starting late from London Paddington and is expected to be 15 minutes late.
This is due to a tree blocking the railway earlier today.

The 15:20 has just left Paddington 24 minutes late and, not on JourneyCheck yet, but the 1550 Paddington to Great Malvern service is showing as cancelled on National Rail Enquiries

[edit] JourneyCheck now showing the 1550 as "being delayed at London Paddington".

In the event the 1550 Paddington to Great Malvern "was cancelled due to late arrival of an inbound service (YI)".

And the following 1703 Didcot Parkway to Moreton-in-Marsh "was cancelled between Oxford and Moreton-in-Marsh due to late arrival of crew from an inbound service (YJ)".

Return runs also cancelled.
