11:55 Great Malvern to London Paddington due 14:24 was terminated at Worcester Shrub Hill.
It will no longer call at Worcestershire Parkway Hl, Pershore, Evesham, Honeybourne, Moreton-In-Marsh, Kingham, Charlbury, Hanborough, Oxford, Reading, Slough and London Paddington.
This is due to a shortage of train crew.

...it's scheduled to form the 14:50 out of Paddington back to Worcester so it may have an impact if we can't find an alternative train

Yes, at Radley.  Person hit by a northbound XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) service.  Thoughts to friends, family, witnesses and staff as always.

Not sure how this will develop but some delays so far:

Quote
Cancellations to services between Moreton-In-Marsh and Evesham

Due to trespassers on the railway between Moreton-In-Marsh and Evesham all lines are blocked.

Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until 16:45 10/03.

1950 Paddington to Hereford cancelled between Paddington and Reading 'because of flooding'. No doubt the floods caused by the tears of frustration from those who have to put up with this 'service'.

Cancellations to services at Worcester Shrub Hill

Following a points failure at Worcester Shrub Hill the line will be reopened shortly.

Train services running through this station may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

18:58 Paddington to Hereford service has been static at Evesham for over an hour with the 18:50 Paddington to Hereford service stuck behind at Moreton-in-Marsh, whilst the 19:46 Great Malvern to Paddington service appears to have been stationary for almost two hours.

Also:
22:00 HFD-PAD terminated at Reading 86 minutes late
20:58 WOF-PAD was cancelled
And lots of disruption to West Midlands Railway services as well.

An incredible amount of disruption for what was a simple points failure at a city centre location.  I'm sure the TOCs (Train Operating Company) will be asking why it took NR» (Network Rail - home page) so long to sort out.  Undecided

Anyone know if the points were the clamp locks at the country end of the station layout, or the rodding worked ones nearer to Worcester Shrub Hill Station Signal Box?

Here's a first: RealTimeTrains reporting that a service ran up to 15 minutes early...

(It looks like it was operating to the standard timetable rather than the revised one.)

Almost good to see some of the more traditional issues??

06:50 London Paddington to Great Malvern due 09:28
06:50 London Paddington to Great Malvern due 09:28 was started from Reading.

It will no longer call at London Paddington and Slough.
It has been delayed at Reading and is now 10 minutes late.
This is due to a fault on this train.
Will be formed of 3 coaches instead of 5.

Looks like an IET (Intercity Express Train) fault at Paddington and a quick grab of a turbo off the depot in Reading to take over the duty!
