WE provisionally booked the 2020 AGM (Annual General Meeting) in Taunton for April 4th - can this be confirmed please? Advance tickets are already on sale, and GWR (Great Western Railway) have a sale on for a few more days, I think

Didn't realise it was provisional - yep, turns our it clashes with the Grand National, with a station tidy day at Chippenham, and with a couple of people's personal events, but none of those has struck anyone as a reason to change it.

We'll be a tiny number of days into DA3 (or whatever other arrangement we find we have by then!) and planning is to have someone there who can tells us what's coming up for the next year or two.  There's a quarterly liaison late next week - GWR and Coffee Shop - so may be somewhat more definite on guest speaker a fortnight from today.

I will not be able to attend this as I shall be on the Isle of Mull that day as part of my Scottish weekend trip

I think its time to decide for certain whether this meeting is physically cancelled and moved online - or simply postponed. In the circumstances, a postponement to early autumn is possible, regardless of the T&Cs.

Personally, I don’t mind either as both work for me, subject to finding a date free.

As of today, my rail tickets are refundable too!

So is the AGM (Annual General Meeting) cancelled, postponed, or replaced by something else?    I don't know; probability is that we'll have some sort of online checkpoint event/ meeting later in the spring - but a decision on the detail of that is a few weeks away.   Most likely we'll use a "Meet the Manager" style session as "Meet the team", but pre-loaded with publications so there's little to surprise anyone on the day.   One of the joys of the Coffee Shop is just how engaged member are all the time - our annual event is not "the one chance to meet the team" that it is at so many traditional AGMs.

As it says - decision a few weeks away, Chris ...

Thank you - probably best to post into both threads with something like this?
