Hi
Does anybody know why is the Night Riviera is starting/ terminating at Plymouth rather than Truro during the current enginering work further west?
I understand it would need to return to Plymouth for housekeeping, but wouldn't a Truro start /finish offer a better customer experience late at night/ early morning?
I have wondered too ... but can only guess. I suspect would have been operationally difficult - not enough capacity for a locohauled train to terminate, wait while snoozing passengers wake and get off and run around ... with additionally another train or two perhaps stored overnight 'cos it can't get from LongRock to start service.
