Some light mental exercise for a wet Thursday morning

Another test of the endless knowledge of the members of the forum.

In a BBC^» News picture feature there is photograph of Harpur Hill, Derbyshire (home of HSE^▸ test labs?)

What is the train in the picture. I don't know the answer, but would get the impression that it is former Tube stock?

In addition to the above, it’s the short lived ‘83 stock’, removed from service after a relatively short life, IIRC^▸ because they had very long dwell times because of single leaf pocket doors (a bit like D stock aka 230s).

I wonder if they were suitably representative for the trials as almost all tube stock then and now had/has double sliding doors?
