9th October 2020 - TravelWatch SouthWest general meeting. Taunton.  Posting "date of next meeting" after today's.  There may be an intermediate bus integration special.

There will be a further series of online zoom meetings / seminars shortly ... and probably a further series in the early Autumn.

The TWSW» (TravelWatch SouthWest - website) board met online the other day, and it looks likely that our online activities will be in lieu of the general meeting in October.   The practicality of getting 100 people together in one place, without needing to rely on the weather, with social distancing issues, and with many of our members in more vulnerable groups, sadly, points us in this direction.

Paradoxically,  there is an element of our membership who are able to make online meetings quite frequently, but haven't been able to take the time out to travel to Taunton twice a year - so the cloud of "having to go online" has had something of a silver lining.    Grumbles about the cost of getting to Taunton have also disappeared ...

Time has crept up on us ... I'm pulling the date off the diary;  TWSW board meeting has been "Doodled" and I would be surprised if we don't set up a date or series of dates at that.  Been a very eventful summer for some of the TWSW team; to my knowledge, all well though.

For those members looking for a transport fireside chat - remember our Tuesday club this week at http://www.passenger.chat/24083
