3. Severn Beach

Indeed - directly opposite the station entrance - where the line used to carry on to Pilning Low Level and would, these days, have provided a usefully joined up service with Severn Beach line trains carrying on beyond "The Beach" to New Passage (renames "Pilning Town"),  Pilning Junction, Aztec West, Patchway and Parkway.  The gates are well high so no picture beyond, and there has been so much development in the area that the trackbed is gone with it being just about one of the most impractical links of any to restore, even though just a couple of mies long.

9. - Trowbridge

Yes indeed.  An old friend - 150-001 in its last month with GWR (Great Western Railway) turned up on the Saturday evening service at 17:43 to Weymouth.  Surprisingly quiet off Temple Meads ... crowds helped onto the train (where it sat for the best part of 10 minutes) by the local constabulary with more joining at Bath Spa.   150001 may not be the prettiest or most comfortable train, but I shall miss her and her sister not popping up from time to time.

Annoyingly I know 4 as well, but just waiting out 24 hour rule... Grin

My lips are sealed too.

This topic appears to have been locked not sure why (probably finger trouble) so I have unlocked it.

"Curlew Line" - very suitable from The Mound to Dornoch (which used to curl all around to get ew there), but it isn't.

Yes.  From last Sunday ... I held back my picture of the Bristol bound platform from my earlier post on the line as it would have been a give-away:

I must say that that station looks remarkably well looked after, and not a single weed to be seen in the track as well!

Nice to see the photography project images are still on display at Avonmouth. Been there a good few years now.
