Advice for fans travelling to this match, which unfortunately clashes with the Severn Tunnel being closed and a Tube strike (link below.)

According to 1 of my sources, FGW (First Great Western) are going to run some extras using 67's - not confirmed though

yes they are from EWS (English Welsh & Scottish Railway Ltd, now known as DB Schenker Rail (UK (United Kingdom))) along with extra staff to guard and drive them.

this is due to the anticipated number of people travelling and to allow them to use existing rolling stock without having to thin out the service for everyone else whilst running 'specials'

So with the wonderful year of welsh sport continuing, I wonder what extra trains will be laid on to get the Bluebirds fans to the final. The semis weren't great for either set of fans - Cardiff fans had to go the scenic route adding an hour to the journey, and Pompey fans apparently had huge disruption due to engineering work as well. And the tube strike was called off so late that I expect most fans had made alternative arrangments rather than risk having no way to get from Paddington to Wembley (and back again).

Shame it's no longer held at the Millennium. Would have been interesting to see how FGW (First Great Western) tried to handle Pompey fans making their way to Cardiff!

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.
