I know three of them but...
Quote
Application proposals will be reviewed by a Network Rail expert panel which would allow more funding for four stations near to the Bristol area.

These stations are Pilning, Charlfield, West Bristol Capacity and St Annes.
...where exactly is this station "West Bristol Capacity"?  Cheesy

Where's Charlfield?
Not sure, but I think it's twinned with Charbury.

Is it genuinely a place with two spellings?  https://bristolavonriverstrust.org/thank-you-to-charlfield-angling-club/

No. In the body of the article, they refer to Charfield, twice, and not Charlfield.

Some of us old buggers still think of it as being between Wickwar and Berkeley Road Wink

But Charlfield twice as well, in the web address and the article headline.  I thought it might be another Han[d]borough.

I assume West Bristol Capacity refers to Henbury as the site of Henbury station is in the Bristol West constituency although myself I would define the area more appropriately as North Bristol Capacity OR it could refer to the proposal to build a station to serve the arenal / reopen Filton North but in any case an arenal station could more appropriately be referred to as Bristol North Capacity in the context of the stated article.

In any event a station provided to serve the arenal would most likely be required to be funded by the developers of the arsenal and if I were asked to give it a name I would name the station Bristol Brabazon of which Brabazon is the name of the adjacent housing development. Can any forum member like me recall seeing the airliner Bristol Brabazon in the skies over Bristol in bygone days ?

The word Capacity had made me wonder if it didn't actually refer to a station at all but capacity for more frequent services on the Severn Beach line.

Has to make you wonder about 5 coach trains, then.   Oh - wait - haven't active platform lengths been cut back to 3 carriages??
