Is No.4 Porkway Partway? Have I been asleep?

Oh come on ... give it a chance.  These things take time ...

The picture is, of course not, the Park and Ride at Pilning - photographed very early on opening morning, Monday 15th May 2023, with my "Back to the Future" camera.  Entrance from the new junction on the M49 . From gov.uk, published 26th June 2019

Quote
And Nick Aldworth, Highways England’s South West Regional Delivery Director said:

Its proximity to the motorway network, railways and port makes it an ideal area to develop and encourage economic growth, and the road scheme has a phenomenally high benefit. Every £1 invested in this scheme will bring more than £30 into the local economy, generating more than 14,000 jobs in the long term.

What could be more sensible than this Park and Ride just 750 metres from the motorway, with 2 trains an hour on the Bristol Metro's Cardiff service, and one London train an hour (the Cardiff semi-fast) calling there?

Oh - sorry. Not sleeping but dreaming.  The quote from Highways England is correct including his noting that the new junction is close to the railway ... just needs someone to join it up.  And if you are a reader in Pilning, the dream (and it works on the map) keeps the station on the edge of your village, and has the traffic approaching it without coming through your built up area.   I'm sure it will help increase the value of your houses  Cheesy

Err ... don't think so?  I suspect you have reduced to obfuscation the place name for a different picture.
