You are invited to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

Topic: Melksham Rail User Group - general meeting
Time: Sep 16, 2020 07:00 PM London (for a 19:30 start - 30 minutes for testing connections, informal chat ...

This meeting is being run online.  The officers of MRUG» (Melksham Rail User Group - site) met on 27th August and have decided that we should continue to meet online at least for September due to Coronavirus restrictions and concerns for our members, many of whom are in vulnerable groups.  We do have limited facilities for a few members who are local to the Melksham area and cannot access us through their own zoom connection.

A waiting room will be in operation for this session; newcomers unknown to our MRUG officers are very welcome indeed, but it would be appreciated if you can email ( info @ mug.org.uk ) ahead of time so we're on the lookout for you. As an alterative, Coffee Shop (forum) members please send me a personal message.

* Web site update and newsletters
* Possible evolution of MRUG» (Melksham Rail User Group - site) to become Melksham Transport User Group

Promotion piece on Facebook:

Do you use buses or trains in Melksham?  Cycle or Walk in the town?  Tomorrow evening (16th September), 19:30, the Melksham Rail User Group discusses a change of name to the Melksham Transport User Group, looking at all forms of sustainable travel. Join us on Zoom - the code and agenda are at http://www.passenger.chat/23965 .

The change would very much reflect what we have been doing so far in 2020, working with transport operators, highways agencies and councils to promote safe travel in, to and from Melksham.  All are welcome to the meeting; please feel free to come along from 19:00 to day "hello" and ask other transport questions too.

Our new "all in one place" web page at http://melksh.am/travel links you to current taxi numbers, live train times, bus timetables, cycling maps and more.
