Good to see some of the longer distance trains making extra calls at some of the smaller stations along the way to help fill gaps in the timetable

Quote
Mon, 14 September 07:21 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central due 10:47
14/09/20 07:21 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central due 10:47 will call additionally at Bristol Temple Meads.
This is due to a problem currently under investigation.

Now, please, can we have some extra calls at DMH» (Dilton Marsh - next trains) to restore the timetable to something like usable from the pathetic sub-franchise-spec that's running at the moment

Glad you mention DMH» (Dilton Marsh - next trains). Looking at the new timetable, the service on weekends is better than weekdays  Huh

Certainly glad that this is the last weekend of the current Sunday timetable where the service from Westbury and Pewsey to/from London has been pathetic. Why some of the hourly London-SW services haven?t been able to call at either station is beyond me. At least Westbury has the via Bath option but Pewsey has been poorly served on Sundays for quite a while now.

I raised it very firmly with GWR (Great Western Railway) about 10 days ago, but understand it is much more difficult to sort out than other issues such as gaps at Frome, Keynsham and Oldfield Park which were raised at the same time.  Of course, the difficulty is compounded by the lack of motivation  in certain circles rather wider than just the GWR meeting to see the station as anything more than a bit of a nuisance.

Might the planned revision of the Severn Beach line services for December (?) 2021 sort those gaps out at Keynsham and Oldfield Park?
