With most of us locked down for four weeks, we'll be carrying on the Tuesday Coffee Shop meet-up on zoom - all posting members welcome, 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, meeting codes via http://www.passenger.chat/b54 .

I have seen comment on other social media that publishing pictures of public transport taken during this period is forbidden.  I can understand the rule, but on the Coffee Shop I'm just going to remind members they should stick to both the letter and spirit of the law.  Library pictures, pictures taken during proper exercise or essential shopping or if any of you are travelling to key work, education or for medical appointments, or if you can see the trains or buses going past your home, all fine (but please tell us which it is and don't leave us wondering.

Until early next month, I'll not be going anywhere beyond walking any cycling in the area. We have stocked up with spaghetti and toilet roles.  I do expect a number of zoom meeting.  During the previous lockdown, I spent a long time chatting that way and on the phone - expect to (and happy to) this time too.

I have some pictures taken during the last few weeks which I might just get time to post over the next month!

Stolen from elsewhere ...

Quote
Good evening everyone, so here?s just a recap of the latest rules, as of today for sale posts are to be removed. We tried to think if there was a way of doing it without banning completely, but it would be too difficult to moderate. So outright is the best way.

As previously mentioned too, all posts relating to stockpiling/panic buying will also be removed.

We are also going to remove any posts that go against Gov/NHS guidance, I understand that there are some members who have their own opinions on the pandemic and the restrictions put in place, whilst we respect other people?s opinions we can?t be seen to be encouraging what equates to illegal activities. There will be many boards that allow these sorts of posts but we will not be one of them.

We?ve also decided that for at least a week we will be turning on post approval. So posts may take slightly longer to appear. This is a necessary evil for the time being.

Stay safe everyone and keep an eye out for some lockdown fun on the board, first up a photography competition, more details will be posted tonight.

How big a thank you can I shout to our members for making stuff like the above totally un-nessasary on the Coffee Shop?

I was wondering why you had posted a picture of the Bristol Cathedral and the Abbey Gatehouse, then I realised you might have meant the building next door!

The library did not seem worth a picture on its own since its reduction to a mere shell. But you are right, as a look at a detail shows.

I have a selection of aerial pictures too, if anyone is interested, as well as some stock photographs.
