I was a Census Area Manager for the 1991 census. It's a lot of work, but very rewarding (not financially, but in terms of achieving something that at least feels as if it might be important). I was lucky in retrospect because I ended up with a really good team of people out there walking the streets and banging on doors. I can quite imagine it would be nightmarish if you ended up having to cover for their failings as well as do everything required of your own role.

I'm sure there are people who have undertaken more than one Census, but it's not for me. I've literally been there and done that, thanks!

If you bang on my door you won't get answer.   Ring the bell and I will be pleased to speak to you.    Grin
