Nope - we don't take sponsorship here.  They should thank their lucky stars for the free advertising.

Additional Information

Replacement road transport has been arranged to run in lieu of this train service, with customers being required to change trains at Swindon in order to get to Chippenham. Please check the stations Onward Travel Information poster and wait for the replacement road transport at the designated stop. The replacement road transport may run later than the advertised train times owing to the additional time taken by road between stations and the time required for loading and unloading at each stop.

Apparently the toilets at the station are available whilst the ticket office is open (0840-1800)..............I can imagine a considerable surge when the train pulls in! (so to speak!)

From National Rail:
Quote
The toilets are located in the Booking Hall. The National key toilets are located in the Main Station Building opposite the Ticket Office; these toilets are operated by a radar key. A radar key is available from station staff upon request.

So ... does that mean that people arriving after 2 hours on the loo-less train have to ask to use the station toilet?  Unclear to me if there are sort of first class and second class toilets - first class with radar key (soap, toilet seats, etc) and second class (hole in the ground standard) - or only the radar ones?

I think National Key etc refers to disabled toilets?

One would imagine that there are also "regular" Gents/Ladies toilets available. Perhaps GWR (Great Western Railway) Twitter could confirm for you?

Early good signs of things getting better - no issues for 10 days on the log - although we did have several services reporting as being cancelled and later re-instated, which puts passenger off for the whole day.

I met with chair of MTUG» (Melksham Transport User Group - site) yesterday and we are starting to softly advertise to potential new users in time for half term.

I had an apologetic person from GWR (Great Western Railway) on the phone to me yesterday regarding a customer complaint I put in last June (!) about cancellations on the route; firstly to apologise for the delay, and secondly seeking my assurance that I thought things had improved since then. And I admitted they have - the last two weeks have been trouble free.

Although I did notice the service that gets into Swindon just before 8 is running ten or more minutes late this morning, so I may well have spoken too soon....
