Not so much "who's who", but "what's what".  The top of our acronyms page has a dated (really dated!) list of locomotive and multiple unit classes and as a starter I am looking to get a complete list of units that have been or are in regular passenger service across "our" area in the last 20 years.

Not those ones, the 170s that were transferred from TPE^▸ (Trans Pennine Express) were reclassified.  The 172s were left as they were - due to the different type of transmission IIRC^▸ (if I recall/remember/read correctly).

Noted to add 172 (current Chiltern) and to remove 150/1 from (ever) being run by the Welsh franchise.  Both agreed. Tnx.
