Here's some more stats from
DfT» - an update today to the
passenger numbers and crowding datasets. This is basically about commuting, and the latest data are for Autumn 2021, so it's still showing Covid effects rather than after-effects.
This little excerpt is the most striking, showing how the number seats provided into Paddington has risen with longer trains, but not matched passenger numbers. Then with Crossrail there was a huge boost in the number of standing places, while (to 2021) the number of passengers had halved!
