From GWR (Great Western Railway) / Journey Check

With effect from Tuesday 11th May 2021 - CUSTOMERS FOR ALL THE AFFECTED ROUTES ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO CHECK THEIR INTENDED JOURNEY PRIOR TO TRAVEL.
.
We have had to adapt many of our High Speed service timetables into a series of separate shuttle services. This has been done to ensure that we are able to advertise and operate a limited but robust service using the resources that we have available to us. As a result, certain journeys which were previously through services will now require one or more changes of train to cover the same journey. For example, a Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington journey will now require a change of train at both Swindon and Reading.

The main routes affected are each detailed below together with any advice in regard of additional / alternate arrangements for ticket holders -

The train service that would normally operate over the London Paddington - Reading - Swindon - Bath Spa - Bristol Temple Meads route will only be operating as a limited shuttle service between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads. This special shuttle service has been very kindly provided by our colleagues at CrossCountry who will be using their own trains and traincrew.
.
At Swindon connections will be available to / from Didcot Parkway and Reading utilising the hourly train services to / from South Wales. Any customers travelling to / from London Paddington will be required to change trains additionally at Reading; similar arrangements apply in reverse for a journey in the opposite direction.
.
Additional shuttle train services will operate between Didcot Parkway, Reading and London Paddington.

.

CUSTOMERS FOR THIS ROUTE ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO CONSIDER WHETHER THEIR JOURNEY COULD BE DEFERRED UNTIL THE SITUATION HAS IMPROVED. THERE ARE FEW CONNECTING SERVICES BETWEEN SWINDON & DIDCOT PARKWAY / READING WITH A FURTHER CHANGE OF TRAIN REQUIRED AT READING FOR TRAVEL TO / FROM LONDON. MOST JOURNEY TIMES WILL BE CONSIDERABLY EXTENDED, CONNECTIONS CANNOT BE GUARANTEED AND IT MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE TO COMPLETE LATE NIGHT JOURNEYS AT ALL AS A RESULT.

Isn’t this info now out of date as JourneyCheck now listing Didcot-Paddington shuttles now running to/from Swindon so only one change now required?

I think it depends whether the Bristol - Swindon service connects at Swindon with the hourly service from Newport (in which case a further change is needed) or with the electric service (in which case no further change is needed).   Moving feast - lets's keep an eye on it (and please update / add comment into the original as appropriate).

18:40 Swindon to London Paddington due 19:37
Additional 11/05/21 18:40 Swindon to London Paddington due 19:37 will be delayed at Ladbroke Grove and is expected to be 1 minute late.
This is due to a broken down train.

I know we ask for plenty of information ... but should there be a cutoff ...

From Journeycheck  for 14th May 2021.   No through London to Bristol trains ...

A shuttle service will run between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads. This is being operated by both GWR (Great Western Railway) and CrossCountry Trains. Your GWR ticket is valid on these trains.
.
Customers travelling to/from London Paddington will need to change trains at Swindon.
.
Extra shuttle trains will run between Swindon, Didcot Parkway, Reading, and London Paddington.
