From GWR (Great Western Railway) Journey check from 11th May 2021

The London Paddington - Reading - Swindon - Gloucester - Cheltenham Spa and return services will be revised to operate as a shuttle service between Swindon and Gloucester only using alternative carriages. Connecting train services operated by CrossCountry and Transport for Wales will be available for GWR ticket holders to travel between Gloucester and Cheltenham Spa.

CUSTOMERS FOR THIS ROUTE ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO CONSIDER WHETHER THEIR JOURNEY COULD BE DEFERRED UNTIL THE SITUATION HAS IMPROVED IF THEIR JOURNEY WOULD TAKE THEM BEYOND THE CONFINES OF THE SWINDON AREA. THERE ARE FEW CONNECTING SERVICES BEYOND SWINDON TOWARDS DIDCOT PARKWAY AND READING WITH A FURTHER CHANGE OF TRAIN REQUIRED AT READING FOR LONDON. MOST JOURNEY TIMES WILL BE CONSIDERABLY EXTENDED, CONNECTIONS CANNOT BE GUARANTEED AND IT MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE TO COMPLETE LATE NIGHT JOURNEYS AT ALL AS A RESULT.

In addition to the revised train service arrangements GWR ticket holders may utilise the following local bus routes should they assist with individual journeys -

Trains between London Paddington - Reading - Swindon - Gloucester - Cheltenham Spa will run as a shuttle service between Swindon and Gloucester only.

GWR (Great Western Railway) customers will be able to travel between Gloucester and Cheltenham Spa using CrossCountry Trains and Transport for Wales services

Saturday 15th May 2021

There are no through services between London Paddington & Cheltenham Spa.
 
A shuttle service will operate between Swindon and Gloucester only where onward connections are available.

Extra shuttle trains will run between Swindon, Didcot Parkway, Reading, and London Paddington.
