Picked this up in the finer print on Journey Check - under
Alterations to services between London Paddington and Hereford via Oxford where they're suggesting Avanti West Coast to Birmingham then West Midlands Trains to the Worcester / Hereford area.
London Underground are conveying passengers between London Paddington and London Euston via London Marylebone in both directions until further notice.
Good - but the "via Marylebone" struck me as an odd stipulation. Much better direct on the Hammersmith and City to Euston Square? Actually I think there's a wider dispensation on place as reading up the same report, I note
London Underground will accept GWR▸ tickets for travel between London train terminals.
Which suggests my good friend the 205 bus is also available.
[context footnote for the historian in later years] - above written during the period when the
IETs▸ were almost all out of service ... but I do wonder whether there should be an automatic any-sensible-route rule rather than an any-permitted-route across public transport. Ah - dreams of Utopia.
