Hello from a newly joined member of this website. I am now 76 years of age and since 2011, the year after taking retirement as Senior Head of Projects, I joined RailUK forums in order to keep my brain active. In 2011, I set up the Closed Stations Journey quiz and both design and launch all new journeys. We are currently on journey 1,037 in the series so far (Platt Bridge to Piel). This quiz on its very first posting covers all rules appertaining and some guide notes.

I use Wikipedia as a tool, plus all the rail books such as Quick. Whilst looking at the Wikipedia route-map diagram of the Reading to Basingstoke line, where Reading Green Park is at one end (marked projected), at the other end before Basingstoke, Chinham is also shown (marked projected).

I would be pleased to hear information with regards to the proposed station of Chinham.

Welcome to the forum.

I suspect they actually mean Chineham, which has its own forum thread here, with the latest update on 18th January this year (2021)

I have now amended the name to Chineham on the Wikipedia route-map diagram. Many thanks,
