Well we had a smoking coach B
A family coach E
and a quiet coach A

Why not a mask coach, or a non mask coach?

Unfortunately, the TOCs (Train Operating Company) cannot enforce mandatory wearing of face coverings, so they obviously have not chosen to mandate the wearing now they have the choice.

It'll be interesting to see the Unions take on this - whether seats at driving coach ends are still roped off going forward, for example.

Whatever TOCs agree is reasonable for their staff should be mandated for the customers, frankly.

Can't see that working, considering the amount of noise, not least from phone use, there was (is?) in most Quiet coaches.

They were much better back when they were separated from the rest of the train by a carriage full of tobacco smoke.
