Sometimes if you are stuck on a train that has been stopped for ages with no information available for crew or passengers as to what's wrong and when it will be fixed you wonder if it resolves problems anywhere......

Does Swindon Control resolve disruption on the Basingstoke to Reading line?

GWR control at Swindon will resolve disruption to GWR trains on that route, with assistance from the Reading AOM (Area Operations Manager).

As far as Network Rail is concerned the boundary with the Wessex area is Southcote Junction, so it will be the Wessex Control that deals with disruption south of that point, though the Western Control at Swindon will obviously be closely involved.
