I am not sure how old this is, given the dates quoted. This document can be found on the Plymouth City Council website

Project is very live now.  A public consultation ended late last month.

Thanks for sharing that, I wasn't aware of the project - the area certainly would benefit from redevelopment.
I wonder if this forms part of the 'Plymouth Metro' vision? At the very least it should place St Budeaux in a better position to be part of it, should it ever come to fruition.

St Budeaux square has always been busy in terms of bus passengers, it would be interesting to know how many of those journeys could be served by rail instead, as the bus network spreads out far and wide from there, especially to the North of the city (i.e. Derriford for the hospital & science parks), for which there is no rail provision. Is it the relative infrequency of services that has previously deterred those heading for the city centre from using the train?

Overall though it's great to see investment in local transport initiatives  Smiley

If the line through to Tavistock ever does see the light of day, an interchange at St Budeaux might attract a few more onto the new service.

I am not sure that St Budeaux would provide much advantage over Plymouth main station as most bus routes go via the City  Centre and not much from St Budeaux.

I lived in St Budeaux for a couple of years in the early 80s and like a lot of people was only vaguely aware of the railway stations there and never actually used them. Instead I travelled mostly by car or motorcycle and occasionally used the Plymouth main station.

I was a bit flummoxed by the title,  Huh then I realised it was about “St Budeaux’s two stations”…
