1) Exeter area bus drivers: strike action has been suspended with further talks planned this week about pay talks

2) Plymouth area bus drivers: threaten to not drive through certain areas of the city due to concern for their safety

I have heard similar views from bus drivers in Somerset, who are not keen on the prospect of driving Evening services again after a decade of the county's bus network effectively being a daytime-only one.

This of course runs directly counter to what is the barest minimum aspiration of bus users, the county council and the DfT» (Department for Transport - about) in the Somerset Bus Service Improvement Plan
