There was a media story a few weeks ago that the owners of the Flybe brand had announced commercial operations, centered on Birmingham Airport (BHX (Bank Holiday excepted (on timetables))), would recommence in 'early 2022'.

Yesterday (25/11/21) a Q400 aircraft (G-JECX) carrying the new Flybe livery appeared at Exeter Airport (EXT) and did a round-trip (test) flight to BHX. Previously the aircraft had been stored at Maastricht since 22/05/2020 and was ferried to EXT earlier (5th) this month. I assume this was to allow some work by the Exeter Aerospace team who must have a wealth of Q400 experience.

At present this appears to be the only machine under Flybe lease.

https://www.flybe.com has been resurrected but is very light on information.

Flybe Mark 2 services advertised as starting on 13th April 2022. Initial schedule information at https://www.flybe.com/en/where-we-fly/new-routes.

Despite Flybe having run numerous test flights on a Birmingham > Newquay > Exeter > Birmingham route over the last few months neither southwest location features in the new schedule.
