There was a media story a few weeks ago that the owners of the Flybe brand had announced commercial operations, centered on Birmingham Airport (BHX▸ (Bank Holiday excepted (on timetables))), would recommence in 'early 2022'.

Yesterday (25/11/21) a Q400 aircraft (G-JECX) carrying the new Flybe livery appeared at Exeter Airport (EXT) and did a round-trip (test) flight to BHX. Previously the aircraft had been stored at Maastricht since 22/05/2020 and was ferried to EXT earlier (5th) this month. I assume this was to allow some work by the Exeter Aerospace team who must have a wealth of Q400 experience.

At present this appears to be the only machine under Flybe lease.

https://www.flybe.com has been resurrected but is very light on information.

Flybe Mark 2 services advertised as starting on 13th April 2022. Initial schedule information at https://www.flybe.com/en/where-we-fly/new-routes.

Despite Flybe having run numerous test flights on a Birmingham > Newquay > Exeter > Birmingham route over the last few months neither southwest location features in the new schedule.
