From https://www.gwr.com/travel-information/train-times

Quote
Because of higher than usual levels of staff being absent or self-isolating due to Covid, a reduced temporary timetable came into effect on Saturday 8 January, ensuring that we can provide the majority of our usual, planned trains, and drastically reduce the number of short notice cancellations.

The temporary timetable will be updated on a weekly basis and is only expected to be in operation for a short time - until the impact of the Omicron variant has reduced.

I rather thought the impact HAD reduced ... SWR» (South Western Railway - about) stepping back this week, Boris removing remaining legal restrictions, etc.  Yet I looked up the 06:36 for 3rd March on Real Time Trains (for a meeting in Salisbury) and find my first train from Melksham way too late - still at 09:10 (which does me no good for an 09:00 meeting in Salisbury.

The above page / temporary timetable is stated as being up to 25th Feb, but the industry databases seem to be suggesting it's in place for longer?  Is it ceasing to be temporary and do we start needing to ask questions so that the missing trains don't just die quietly?

A meeting I was at a couple of weeks back suggested the normal timetable would resume from next Monday (28th).

GWR (Great Western Railway) have now posted on their website details of their amended timetable from tomorrow “until further notice”.

It restores quite a lot of the long distance services but no change to TransWilts or some south western branch lines.

That will probably be that until the summer timetable I suspect.
