I wondered what that architectural feature was ... thanks for the extra data.  Bath Spa is an interesting station and would probably be worth a "historic tour" at some point - probably a lot of trouble to organise, unless anyone reading this might know better  Grin ...

There is a video available to view on the BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) website or iPlayer called 'Men of Steam'. It was filmed in 1962 and approximately halfway through follows the Station Master at Bath Spa going about his duties. You get to see the spiral steps up to the signal box as well as a look inside. After the section on Bath Spa the video takes a look at Freshford, complete with sheep running amok!

As I am here, picture 5 is Trowbridge.

24.  That bus was probably operating X31 between Bath and Chippenham - see https://bustimes.org/vehicles/244517?date=2022-02-05.  To narrow the location down further we need to find a Kings Arms pub with a car park.

24 As implied by others, it is the main West/Southbound bus stop in Melksham outside the United Reform church.

By the way, please can I have no. 3 back? Then I can leave it to PrestburyRoad to argue the toss with you about how far Bath's mystical "Town Centre" is from Manvers Street.

Found a rather good photo of the signal box taken in the early 70s. I would imagine it didn’t last much longer after that.
