From JourneyCheck:
Quote
Due to a safety inspection of the track between Moreton-In-Marsh and Evesham the line is closed.
Train services running through these stations may be delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until 15:15 07/10.

A section of track in the Moreton-in-Marsh area requires a safety inspection. Until that has been completed and the all clear has been given we are unable to operate train services over that route in either direction.

We are looking to establish a shuttle service of road vehicles between Worcester Shrub Hill and Moreton-in-Marsh with a train shuttle service operating between Moreton-in-Marsh and Oxford. This will however take some time to resource and appropriate updates will be provided as and when possible.

And to that gloomy list we have to add the 19:53 Paddington to Hereford, cancelled throughout due to what RTT» (Real Time Trains - website) reported as "late arrival of an inbound service (YI)".

Not showing on JourneyCheck but the 08:51 Paddington to Great Malvern appears to have been cancelled. The following 09:52 Paddington to Hereford has just departed Paddington 17 minutes late.

Well, here i am on the Hereford - Paddington. I have to report that the ticket office space at Foregate Street is covered in water. Not very deep, but enough for it to be taped off with a sign "buy your tickets at your destination".  And West Midlands Trains have stopped running from Birmingham to Hereford.

Probably.  It’s at least the third time it’s happened since Radley calls were added to long distance services on Sundays only.

I did get it from the GW (Great Western) website, but to be advance information, it should be out and publicised, err, in advance - not on the day, don't you think?
