From Journeycheck
Alterations to services between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads
Due to heavy rain flooding the railway between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads all lines are blocked.
Train services running through these stations will be diverted. Disruption is expected until 10:00 12/01.
Customer Advice
We are sorry for the delay to your journey this morning due to flooding.

Due to the amount of water flowing on and around the Railway it is not safe to run trains directly between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads.

Services between these two stations will diverted with additional running time in some cases.

Passengers for Bath Spa at Swindon, you are advised to travel via Bristol Parkway and change at Bristol Temple Meads.

Passengers for Bath at Bristol Temple Meads, you are advised to use the GWR (Great Western Railway) services for Portsmouth Harbour stopping at Bath Spa.

Passengers for Chippenham, you are advised replacement road transport has been requested to run between Swindon and Chippenham in both directions, although unfortunately this has not yet been able to be fulfilled.

Local bus ticket acceptance has been requested for GWR ticket holders.

(Mods - please move if there is a more appropriate current thread. Thank you)
