it IS valid on Overground, Elizabeth Line, Thameslink
it IS NOT Valid from Portsmouth to Ryde

So it IS Valid at any time out of King's Cross on Hull Trains and Grand Central, and change at Peterborough or further north to LNER.

It IS valid through Birmingham New Street on Cross Country, and on and off TfW, LNWR (London North Western Railway), etc, there at any time

Tyneside rail yes, but do you mean Thneside Metro? I think thst’s a no as its effectively a tram

...and in the absence of any specific statement to the contrary, best to take the exclusion of London Underground at face value and assume that it's not even valid on the bits that other NR» (Network Rail - home page)-only tickets are accepted on for specific journeys (Baker St-Amersham, Tower Hill-Upminster etc).  Chances are any revenue or station staff you encounter won't be sure either (though some may claim to know and refuse to budge!), but it's really not worth opening that can of worms.

A fun thing to use and the flexibility apart from a few time restrictions is handy, but I'd say you really do need to enjoy rail travel and make at least one long journey each day for it to pay for itself. If this leads anywhere we'll be following the week with interest!

The 1000 restriction is as written. So yes, only the operators listed for boarding and alighting at the stations listed are barred from pre-1000 use. It's fine to take another operator from those stations before 1000 then change onto Avanti, LNER» (London North Eastern Railway - about), CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway at a station not listed further up/down the line.Also fine to pass through (where possible) the stations listed before 1000. For example, CrossCountry from Cheltenham to Stafford early morning.

Yes to validity on Merseyrail. On Tyne & Wear Metro the ALR (All Line Rover) should be valid between Newcastle and Sunderland, although there is some evidence of problems encountered when using Rover/Rangers on Metro journeys where there is interoperability with Northern.

No to trams in Croydon, Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield, Manchester, Blackpool, Edinburgh.

Seperate ticket required for any ferry journey.

Also valid on Sleeper services on payment of a berth supplement.

Also vaild in 3rd Class on the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways. Advance booking recommended.
