Travelled to Exeter (Okehampton and Barrnstable) yesteday.
Noticed the early trains via and off Plymouth to Newton were delayed by up to 30 minutes with signalling problems, but only on the up line.
Down trains unaffected.
Our train was only 6 late luckily.

Todays early delays up to 30 minutes.

Is the signalling system on the up not liking the early sun!

(Not sure where to post, so mods please move as appropriate)

The issue is with Exeter Panel's first up signal E1.  Trains are having to be talked past it at danger.  However it means a train has to pass Totnes Station before the following one can be released from UM230 at Aish.  The delays are occuring because there are eight miles between the two signals.   As you can see a queue quickly develops.
