Maidenhead Advertiser are reporting the reintroduction of the 07.16 fast (via Slough) to paddington

Lol - I can claim no personal responsibility but I am very pleased with the outcome.

It does go to show that sometimes there is actually some leeway to be found when organisations like Network Rail and GWR (Great Western Railway) say that something ‘simply can’t be done’.
