I'm glad you spotted my deliberate mistake.  Actually, I should have had a closer look.  My only defence is that the train was about to leave when I got there so the picture was a bit hurried.
"Sarfend" was a summer day trip family destination when I was a child living on the edge of London so this day out from Bristol comes largely under the heading " Nostalgia".
There's sure been changes but much was still familiar.....and at £29.00 advanced ticket return with a Railcard, a bit of a bargain too.

As a little footnote.  In all our visits there back in the 60s, we never managed to do the pier train, so this sort of counted as bashing a new line.....same with the Lizzie Line today too.
