6Z19 0659 Whatley Quarry F Liner Hh to Oxford Banbury Road
Cancellations to services between Reading and Basingstoke
Due to a broken down train between Reading and Basingstoke all lines are blocked.
Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed. Disruption is expected until 12:00 16/11.
Customer Advice
We are sorry for the delay to your journey today.

Can you tell me more about the incident?
A freight train has broken down blocking the line towards Reading. Whilst the train is assessed the line will be shut in both directions.

Update 09:52 - The train has now been declared a failure. This means a rescue train will be needed to move the train out of the way.

1Z99 appears to be shunting on to it (11;11)

Only one 10 minute delay thus far.  There is probably one path an hour available - the problem comes with the unsyncronised appearance of extra trains.
