Summer Saturdays, Melksham to Weymouth by train and yesterday was the last of the season.  Autumn Satudays, a new through train from Swindon to Oxford allows you to travel to Oxford on Saturdays with just a single change on the way.

Melksham depart 10:09.  Change at Swindon (arrive 10:36, leave 10:58).  Oxford arrive 11:29

Day return fare £20.80 or on a senior railcard £13.70 on 14th September or £13.85 from 21st September.

Return trains from Oxford at 14:05, 16:30, 18:32 and 20:05. In each case change at Didcot and Swindon, journey time about an hour and a half.

Sorry - no images in my library of Oxford, so attached is an old map of Oxford from over 100 years ago showing the city centre in relation to the station.

P.S. Same fare on to Bicester Village, connection at Oxford every half hour.
