EuroAirport closed due to safety concerns

This is a major airport, jointly operated by France and Switzerland.
I suspect that this may be related to the attacks on the French railway network.

A proper intercity train has a minimum of 8 coaches, gangwayed throughout, with first at one end, and a full sized buffet car between first and standard.
It has space for cycles, surfboards,luggage etc.
A 5 car DMU^▸ is not a proper inter-city train. The 5+5 and 9 car DMUs are almost as bad.

Some news just coming to us from elsewhere on the continent - EuroAirport Basel–Mulhouse–Freiburg has temporary grounded flights due to "safety reasons".

The airport is located in France and is operated jointly by France and Switzerland.

A post on social media says the terminal has been evacuated and closed.

We have no indication whether this is linked to the rail disruption in France, but we will bring you more details as we get them.

Quoted from BBC^» website. As I don't think that a link will work as this story is "buried" in the extensive reports about the railway attacks.

Bomb threat according to https://www.lemonde.fr/economie/article/2024/07/26/l-aeroport-de-bale-mulhouse-evacue-pour-des-raisons-de-securite_6258719_3234.html but air traffic has now resumed.
