Roll up, roll up!  Please submit your questions - by personal message to Chris from Nailsea preffered for Meet the Manager to be held on 3rd October.  The person fielding questions for GWR (Great Western Railway) will be Daryn McCombe, their director of performance, who I met last night.

The moderator team will select half a dozen questions to put to Daryn to start conversations rolling during the session on 3rd October and those will be notified to him by the end of next week.

Today - September 25th - last call for questions for "Meet the Manager" with Daryn McCombe on Thursday 3rd October 2024.  Members are encouraged to send personal messages to Chris from Nailsea who is correlating questions ... but he / I / the admin team will also pick up any questions posted, or emailed in, by midnight.   Here's Daryn from the top of his LinkedIn profile

Extracted from the event "project" plan ...

25.9 to 27.9 our admin and moderator team will be looking through the questions submitted. We will choose a selection of half a dozen that we feel are most appropriate, varied, relevant and of wide interest to our members and guest readers.    We will let Daryn and the team at GWR (Great Western Railway) know what those questions are so that they you have time to research and prepare initial answers.

Over the weekend / early next week I will put a Zoom link up ready for 3.10.

3.10 One of our admin team will start run the Zoom session for live broadcast at around 14:25 for intros.  At 14:30 we will seed the first thread onto the forum and Daryn / team can post an answer.  Members can then post / ask follow ups and comment.   This is the first time we are going live on Zoom as well as typed in messages, and I am minded that we could head off in two directions; knowing how these things go, I am expecting the discussions to go dynamic for the most part for those who are online. Next question - 10 minutes later.  [named admin] to be timekeeper.  And so on.

At the end of the session, “thank you to you and Daryn and the team, and admin who's with GWR / at their office will head home.   I plan to go back through the zoom audio that evening and bolster the threads generated to supplement what will become a reference set of answers with the further comment.

4.10 A note of the further questions that didn’t make the top half dozen to GWR; we will welcome and appreciate comment as appropriate by 11.10, which is the date of TravelWatch SouthWest
