2. Bristol Temple Meads, in the concourse. And no, I wasn't standing next to grahame when he took the picture.

William Huskisson MP▸ was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830. Many more have died in the same way since then. Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

6. If it's Jenny Agutter in the railway children then it has to be Oakworth Station.

Actually it hasn't ... and isn't. It's somewhere in South West England.

I think we were both right in identifying the person in the picture, and the film context: see https://www.bfi.org.uk/features/railway-children-yorkshire-locations . However, I now also think that the image posted by grahame is a piece of artwork at some completely different location 'somewhere in South West England'. It's not Nailsea and Backwell, if that helps.

It is Jenny Agutter - and indeed a photo still from "The Railway Children" I think. Jenny provided some assistance to our 2005/06 campaign to avoid the SRA» proposed cuts from December 2006, and indeed that campaign was broadly successful - the exception being the Swindon to Westbury line which was reduced by 60% to save £30,000 a year and (as I understand it) so they could save some face.
