Not telling. Although now I think about it, this thread is 'Away from the tracks', so I'm not in fact cheating  Grin

Umm...

If it helps*, there was a time when - for approximately four months - my daily commute included a rail replacement bus service that went past this station (in one direction only, though).

* - OK, so it probably doesn't...

I'm not 100% convinced as to whether those 3 things are actually coaches or structures on the platform edge and trackbed;  this one's all very curious (until it's explained, when it will look obvious!).   Isn't there a station somewhere between Barnstaple Town and Ilfracombe where there's a cafe built somewhat like this - but then what would a rail replacement service be doing on that road?

Also looking at the clues and thinking along the Barnstaple to Taunton way ...

Thanks for posting this - it has been bugging me!

I was about to guess Pecorama ( out of desperation Wink ) and then I had a brain wave:

Devon Railway Centre at Bickleigh?

Give that man a biscuit! Yep, it's Bickleigh.

re: the 'in one direction only': In 2000-2001, when the Barnstaple was bustituted for six-and-a-half months because of flooding, there were two buses covering the 07xx departure, we ganged up on Des and made him drive his coach via the A361 and the A396, while the other bus covered the other stations along the A377. We had different drivers in the evening, so we had to take the windy road back home...

Nope. If it helps (where have I heard that before...), I haven't fiddled with the picture: north is at the top.

I didn't read it at hostile ... and I should be the one to be upset as I'm the t**t who guessed at Churston.   Grin  ... and, beside, it gives me a license to be slightly short with devon_metro if he comes up with something along similar t**tish lines on TransWilts topics

I were stumped ... but now say you tell us, I'm saying "duhh - of course".   Perhaps a tramway picture is a little away from FGW (First Great Western) land - but I think we have one member who kinda shoulda got  it base on his name  Wink

I was wondering what those structures were at right angles across the loop line. It's now obvious they are the poles for the overhead wire.

I had realised it was narrow gague hence guess at L&B.

P.S. Previous picture of Devon Railway Centre do they use what was I believe called Chudleigh Sation on the Exe Valley?
