"The A433 between Cirencester and Tetbury in Gloucestershire had to be closed to traffic after a heavy goods vehicle hit a railway bridge.  The lorry struck the Thames Head bridge just after 1100 GMT on Tuesday.  The lorry driver was not injured, although trains were stopped while engineers assessed the damage.  A spokesman for First Great Western (FGW▸ (First Great Western)) Trains said the bridge was fine and trains would resume running normally."

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

Apparently it was struck by an Irish Articulated Lorry, not that it makes any difference  Grin
