Disability Friendly Stations

I would like to nominate Theale as the most unfriendly station to disabled people on the Kennet line. As far as I can see there is no point alighting or trying to join the train if you have limited mobility. I am not sure what the disabled parking spaces are there for!!! My nephew who uses a wheelchair really struggled to join the train there. Are there any worse on the route? Huh

Nailsea & Backwell is a candidate for such an award, sadly:

The car park, below platform 2, has several disabled spaces - and there is an excellent gradual slope for disabled access, going up from the road to platform 2.

However, the return journey, arriving at platform 1, presents serious difficulties - there is no slope, only the 'one-in-one' angled steps: see http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=4139.msg34473#msg34473
