I think it says something about it if none of the staff are sure, it's stupid that it is so complicated

I'm rather playing devil's advocate here, I admit, but I honestly don't see what is so complicated about this particular fare.

XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) told you, correctly, that an off-peak ticket was valid for your journey. National Rail Enquiries told you, correctly, that an off-peak ticket was valid for your journey. A journey enquiry using the NRES (National Rail Enquiry Service) website shows clearly that an off-peak return is valid for use on the 0642 BHM - TQY. Finally, the fares manual shows that the ticket is valid by any train departing after 0500. All of the rail staff involved gave you correct information. All the conductor on the train needed to do, in the case of any doubt, is to call up the fare in Avantix (Ticket Issuing System used on board trains) traveller which shows the relevant restriction clearly.

Torquay / Paignton/ Brixham is a dump.

I'm assured Teignmouth is worth however.

Torquay, Paignton and Brixham aren't that bad IMO (in my opinion).

Newton Abbot is a good place to stay, easy access Dartmoor and the coast.

Can't say i've ever had a problem, no doubt they originated from Torre/Teignmouth anyhow.

shame as torquay paignton and n.a could be such nice places

but just like w.s.m theyve gone downhill because of the huge breed of chav gang culture/estates/uncontrolled imigration which in turn mean the council are in no hurry to put much effort into their towns/citiies which in turn means run down places.....

w.s.m in picture 30/40 years ago looks like paradise compared to now

my sister visited blackpool and she says is a horrid dump

the uk is falling apart unfortunatly

I wouldn't say immigration was a massive problem in Torbay tbh!
