Thanks for that, caliwag!  Wink

What I find disappointing is that such articles still include the standard six paragraphs, wittering on about historic concerns over 'under-fire train company First Great Western', quoting Ruth Kelly and Tom Harris - as if they have any relevance today.

Give FGW (First Great Western) a break, for goodness' sake, when they're actually trying to improve things!  Angry

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

Maybe so, but let's not forget it was FGW (First Great Western) that got itself into a mess over catering in the first place - just how much did all the trolleys and the work on the toilets in coach A - now being reversed - cost?

Add that cost to this ^8m and you could probably have updated many of the existing buffet cars, avoiding all this carry-on.

It's the same outfit that runs the Express & Echo, so we shouldn't really be surprised... but still  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
