In the return direction, you'll be asked probably once out of every 20 trips, but you'll probably have to stand anyway because of all the rubbish.

Novel idea but how about putting the rubbish in a bin and then sitting down....?

There's probably some unionised health and safety executive ruling which dictates that passengers undertaking such activities do so in contravention of rules governing collection of discards under subsection 2.5.9a of paragraph 76

Wos a giro'nite? Someone on state benefits? I myself am on benefit and I clean up after myself. Leave the random generalisations to the Daily Mail.

I rest my case

dooby, can I suggest you supply the forum with pictures of all this rubbish that is preventing you from sitting down on a FGW (First Great Western) service beyond Plymouth. If not, then give it a rest, it's becoming tiresome.

Perhaps we should swap the FGW trains with 4 car wonderfully magical Cross Country trains. See what he thinks then.

As opposed to those 2 carriage pieces of junk that trundle between Penzance and Plymouth?  Yes please  Grin
if you don't like them DON'T GET ON THEM!!!! i'm sure our poor little 150's think just as highly of all the scumbags that travel on them for free in Cornwall! As for litter, the voyagers are the worst as they now get no on train cleaning west of Exeter, the FGW HST (High Speed Train)'s are cleaned between Ply-Exd on most Cornish services.

As for ticket checking, won't matter next september when ticket barriers are installed at Truro, all the Cambornites will have to start selling the big issue to actually buy a train ticket to get to Truro crown court every week.

Saw a XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) lady cleaning west of Newton Abbot on Saturday, unless she was a passenger cleaning for the fun of it, id say she was being employed to clean the train!  Grin
