Not really unusual, there's a Rugby game on.

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

In a word Discipline is what cost them the game. The ref warned the Scottish captain a number of times that a yellow was coming. Did they not watch the Eng v Wales game to see it was doing stupid things (or one stupid thing) that cost Wales the match last week.

Thoughts are with Scotland winger Thom Evans who was badly injured during the game. Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Far be it for me to disagree, but...

Though what puzzles me is that, during the live coverage, there wasn't a reply of the offending incident that took Scotland down to 13 men. And if it were that bad, surely the referee should have awarded a penalty try, which would have sealed things.

The other puzzling thing is why, with 13 men, and the clock already past 80 minutes, Scotland didn't put the restart straight into touch, and finished the game level. That must be one of the most bizarre decisions in recent times, as apparently they thought they could still steal a late score. With 13 men, and play going straigh to the Welsh?

Let's hope the game is remembered for it's remarkable climax, and not for the injury to Thom Evans, who I hope makes a full recovery.

Without wishing to be too nit-picking, it is an unusually large passenger flow because it happens relatively infrequently. The fact that something can be anticipated doesn't make it a normal event...after all, we can anticipate a total eclipse of the sun with extreme accuracy but I don't suppose you'd try and argue that it's a "usual" event.

As always happens at CDF» (Cardiff - next trains) on match days, no doubt significant trouble will have been taken to move the crowds through the station as quickly and smoothly as possible, but with the best will in the world an influx of people on that scale will always cause some modest problems and delays, regardless of how much planning and preparation goes on ahead of time.
