The junction at St Budeaux where the Gunnislake branch joins the main line which was relayed around Chrismas I think still has a 20 mph speed restriction on it.Does anyone know why this speed restriction has not yet been lifted.

I suspect it is due to preparations for the overhaul of the Royal Albert Bridge later this year. There is quite an area that has been cleared between St Budeaux Ferry Road and the bridge itself, and I suspect this is where much of any equipment/materials that will be used will be stored.

I'll see if I can find out anything concrete.

I think Richard was giving us the abridged version there.

You certainly don't want the unbridged version.

Apart from ongoing works I hear there's a 'wet bed' problem.

It's water under the bridge then.

Restriction lifted - having to brake now to get down to the 15mph for the bridge.
