The Cornish main line is closed on the above dates for work to be carried out on one of the viaducts near Liskeard, from what i've seen a train service will operate between Bodmin Pky and Penzance and from Liskeard upwards but people for Plymouth will be bussed direct from St Austell to Plymouth. In this time loco hauled services will operate between Bodmin pky and Penzance!

I think it had the same problems as the Summer Weymouth services , EWS (English Welsh & Scottish Railway Ltd, now known as DB Schenker Rail (UK (United Kingdom))) unable to operate scheduled passenger services on FGW (First Great Western) or EWS safety case ??

Does anybody have an idea which trains will operate on those days. Some our listed with first class so i imagine some HST (High Speed Train)'s some units and possibly the sleeper carriages(they have done before, with sleepers out of use.)

It will have to be a train that can be driven from both ends , as single line working will be in place between Lostwithiel and Bodmin , so if it is sleeper stock, it will be engine either end. I suspect they will keep 1 HST (High Speed Train) set PZ side of the blockade , or use units ?

Wont be the sleeper stock as that will have to be used for the sleepers from Liskeard upwards! Came from a good source about the loco hauled, whether they may be using Victa Westlink 31's? but that is pure speculation!

Its about time someone grabbed two people by the hair (if the two people got any) and banged their heads together and knocked some sense into em and sort out this problem out regards EWS (English Welsh & Scottish Railway Ltd, now known as DB Schenker Rail (UK (United Kingdom))) running scheduled passenger services on behalf of FGW (First Great Western) on their, FGW's, safety case or their own, EWS's, safety case. Come next years Glastonbury Festival if this aint sorted, No Glastonbury specials, WOT THEN.

Of note is Saturday/Sunday trains run Penzance to St.Austell. Mon/Tue/Wed is Penzance to Bodmin. During this period Sat/Mon/Tue/Wed the NQY (Newquay (Station)) branch is also covered by road transport....

I presume thats the two weeks where Network Fail put TSRs (Temporary Speed Restriction) round every corner.

What will they blame this year?

OOO I know - daily HSTs (High Speed Train)

The Loco hauled services WILL be running between Bodmin Road and Penzance during the closure of the line! I have been advised that all problems have now been ironed out between Network Rail / FGW (First Great Western) and EWS (English Welsh & Scottish Railway Ltd, now known as DB Schenker Rail (UK (United Kingdom))) on the operation of advertised passenger services , common sense prevails perhaps ?
