09/10/2007.
Well I never.

05:25 Swansea to London Paddington due 08:25
This train has been revised. It will no longer call at: Neath, Port Talbot Parkway and Bridgend. This is due to a delay on a previous journey.

At the time in the morning I suspect that the only previous journey this set would have made today is from the Llandore depot into Swansea station and even FGW (First Great Western) cant run that on time, train eventually left Swansea at 0555 with the next Swansea to London departing on time at 0600.

Could it be that someone's alarm clock didn't go off this morning.

Guess what

How many minutes do you think it made up

2! 2 whole minutes, it was following an ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))) service!

2 whole minutes, it was following an ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))) service!

and it lost that plus another 1 on leaving BPW» (Bristol Parkway - next trains) and then went BANG.

Now terminated at BPW.

Following 0600 Swansea - Paddington delayed by over 30 minutes as a result.

Plenty of happy passengers this morning, good job the 0710 ran this morning to lift those passengers who were at BPW at 0720 this morning otherwise we might have had the specatacle of three trains passengers trying to cram onto one train.

Typical service passengers have come to expect from FGW (First Great Western).
